The Cade Moore Polytechnic Institute aka CM-Tech is a class of educational nonprofit that is ineligible to file for tax-exempt status using the expedited 1023-EZ form.

Meaning we had to file with the full 1023 version of the form.  The core form itself is at least 29 pages and with attachments the entire submission packet can easily exceed 100 pages.

Not only does the paperwork take a long time to assemble it takes even longer to hear back from the IRS.

We are still waiting for approval from the IRS meaning our 501(c)(3) status could be considered pending.  If/When it does get approved the approval should be retroactive to the date of incorporation.
